I’m supposed to be reading all of the books currently stacked on my nightstand before moving on to anything new. This book is not one of them.
But I wanted something light and easy to take on our recent camping trip, and nothing on by nightstand fit the bill. Plus, I’m also supposed to be reading all these classics, so there. It doesn’t count as cheating if you’re swapping one to-do for another.
So, here’s the question now that I’ve read the book: should I see the movie? I’m thinking yes, because how else am I supposed to snobbishly look down my nose at people who enjoyed the film and say, “You know, the book was so much better.”?
